MARHUE, Marta Hruszowiec is a visual artist and painter based on the Atlantic coast of Andalusia, Spain. Her abstract paintings are rooted in lived experience — changing light, movement, warmth, wind, water and the moments when the world seems to slow down.

Rather than depicting places, she works with the feelings they leave behind. A reflection of light on the water, the rhythm of the ocean, music, movement or a moment of complete stillness may stay with her long after the experience itself has passed.

In the studio, these impressions return intuitively through colour, gesture and translucent layers. Paintings develop slowly over many days, without a predetermined image, until they find their own balance.

Marta studied Visual Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts, developing a strong foundation in colour, composition and visual perception. Her later work across design further shaped her sensitivity to how colour and form influence the way we experience a space.

I paint to preserve something less tangible: a state of presence. I want my paintings to be quiet points of return — an invitation to pause, breathe and notice.
